Essential Network Connection for Compliance

Our application executes specific network connections prior to the initiation of any user consent process for users within the European Economic Area (EEA) to ensure compliance with our legal obligations under the GDPR.

Purpose of Processing

This network connection is strictly limited to the following essential purposes:

  1. Display of the Consent Management Platform (CMP): To fetch and present the legally required consent form to the user from a dedicated server.
  2. Retrieval of the Latest Privacy Policy: To ensure the user has access to the most current and accurate version of our Privacy Policy (web page) or a link to it.
  3. Connection Integrity Check: To reliably execute the actions described in (1) and (2), we perform a minimal data communication check to confirm network connectivity.

Legal Basis

This processing is performed under our Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) and does not require the user’s prior consent.

Our Legitimate Interests are the fulfillment of our legal duty as an application provider (i.e., GDPR compliance) and ensuring the delivery of appropriate privacy choices and up-to-date information to the user. This process is designed to minimize any impact on the user’s privacy rights.

Data Collected and Utilized

During this mandatory connection, we only utilize the minimum necessary network information (e.g., a temporary IP address, connection status) required to achieve the purposes stated above. This information is not used for any purpose other than establishing the consent interface and displaying the policy.
